Care

The first year at the vet

It is not a race to buy products. It is a calendar: vaccines, checks, and a doctor who sees the dog while it is small, so later it already has a history.

The puppy leaves us with the care and papers required. After that, the thread is held by your own vet. We do not hand you a protocol to copy: every country, every clinic, every puppy has its own timing. We give you the sense of it. The first year is for building a relationship with a doctor, not for collecting receipts.

  1. 01

    In the first days

A check-up, even if “it is perfectly fine”. It lets someone who is not you handle the dog, and it lets the papers be read.

  2. 02

    The vaccine calendar

The vet decides it, according to age, area and what has already been given. You do not bring it forward on a Facebook group.

  3. 03

    Parasites and weight

You repeat, you weigh, you look at the back. A puppy that grows too fast is not “a champion”: it is a puppy to recalibrate.

The right vet is the one you can write to without embarrassment. Keep that person.
