- What a kennel name isThe kennel name is granted to the breeder and becomes part of the official name of every dog born under it. It is not a prize or a show title: it is a traceability tool. It means that years later you can still tell where a dog came from.
- ENCI and FCIENCI is the Italian national canine body, recognised by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale. Registration with ENCI places a kennel inside a framework of rules shared internationally, with common criteria for identifying dogs and recording their pedigree.
- Why it should matter to youFor a family looking for a puppy, the kennel name is one of the few things you can verify yourself. A kennel that can be identified is a kennel you can go back to, ask questions of, and hold to account.
Official information about the kennel name can be consulted at ENCI. The ENCI and FCI marks indicate the kennel's affiliation; the official records remain those of the registry.
